In addition to trusty standard solutions, W+P has enormous expertise in customized projects. For this process, UL-certified stranded wires and cables, flex flat cables and flat cables are used.

The cable types can be individually assembled with various connection technologies, including IDC, crimp or solder terminations. A combination of different connector families on one cable is also possible.

With the series 998-916, W+P expands the portfolio to include an alternative with IDC connection technology in 1.27mm pitch – available pre-assembled at both ends. Four different orientations of the mating side are possible. Moreover, the length of the flexible flat cable can be selected application-oriented, at a wire cross section of AWG 30,

The double row IDC socket is also deliverable with different numbers of contacts. The insulators consist of thermoplastic in accordance with UL94 V-0. Safe functionality is guaranteed within a temperature range of -20° C to +105° C.
