For compact high-current and Signal Transmission

With the introduction of the new 9027-9030 series, W+P PRODUCTS is expanding its existing connector portfolio in the field of compact board-to-board power connectors.

The new series complement the established 9017-9020 product family with a 1.27 mm pitch, providing developers with additional options for applications requiring higher current capacity while maintaining a compact design.

The new power connectors feature a 2.54 mm pitch and have been specifically developed for high-performance, space-constrained electronic applications. With a rated current of up to 21 A per contact, they enable significantly higher current transmission than conventional signal connectors, bridging the gap between compact signal transmission and high-performance power connections.

Thanks to their robust design, the connectors are suitable for an extended temperature range of –55 °C to +125 °C, meeting the requirements of demanding industrial applications even under harsh environmental conditions.

The new power connectors are particularly suitable for industrial automation, embedded systems, robotics, measurement technology, as well as energy and communication technology – wherever signals and high currents need to be transmitted reliably within a very limited space.

The new series are available with 2 to 6 poles as well as 12 poles, offering a high degree of flexibility for various system requirements. To accommodate several layout and design concepts, versions are available as SMT male and female connectors, each in both vertical and horizontal configurations.

A particular advantage for automated manufacturing processes is that the connectors are supplied as standard in tape-and-reel packaging. The vertical versions also feature pick-and-place pads, enabling efficient and reliable SMT assembly.

The series also offers flexibility in terms of plating, with Selective Flash Gold (Sel. Flash Au) and 0.75 µm Selective Gold (0.75 Sel. Au) options available to ensure optimum contact performance and service life according to the specific application requirements.

With this portfolio expansion, W+P PRODUCTS further strengthens its position in the field of compact high-current connectors, offering developers greater flexibility in selecting powerful, space-saving connection solutions for modern electronic systems.
